Albany Bulb Amphitheater

Love the BulbEditEdit Description

The Albany Bulb is a shoreline park owned by the City of Albany and is an old construction debris landfill. There are numerous informal outdoor performance spaces including The Amphitheater (with small wooden performance platform), the Little Theater, The Cove and The Platforms. All spaces are rugged outdoor spaces with a lot of character but few amenities. Most require the audience to bring stools or sit on the ground. The Bulb is beloved as a site of outlaw sculpture and painting and is gaining a reputation as a unique site for performance by acclaimed companies such as We Players and the Joe Orrach Performance Project.

Love the Bulb is a community organization that has a permit from the City to present theater, dance, music and installations at the Bulb. We provide site support and publicity to performers. facebook.com/lovethebulb/.
